Groups

DC Sail offers an alternative view of the nation's capital that is fun, safe and well-organized. We accommodate all kinds of groups, including groups of friends, school groups and co-workers, for 1-time group sails. Instructors will be provided by DC Sail. All you have to do is bring the people!

Groups are welcome during weekends from 1:00pm - 4:00 pm. We can host four to twenty-four people on any given weekend afternoon.

The cost is $100 per boat. Each boat can fit up to four people.

How to schedule a Group Sail
1. Check out our calendar and pick a date that works for you.
2. Invite some friends or colleagues to come sailing. You can use evite if you want.
3. Send us an email or call (202) 309-1115 to make reservations. You must give us at least a week notice for groups so we can plan for instructors
4. You can pay online ahead of time or by check the day of the group sail. Contact dcsail@nmhf.org for more information on how to pay online. All checks should be made out to NMHF.
5. Have everyone in your group fill out a waiver form. Click here for a copy. They are also available at the sailing facility.

Weather Policy: DC Sail’s boat facility remains open when it is raining. However, we will close the boat facility if there is a serious threat of lightning or if the wind speed exceeds 20 knots. Please click here for more information about our weather policy.
