DC Sail
DC Sail was officially designated as a separate sailing program of NMHF in 2010. The program was born from the need to focus more attention specifically on the operations of the organization’s many on-the-water sailing programs. A group of dedicated volunteers have formed a Sailors Advisory Group and Executive Board which oversee the organization, along with a Sailing Director. Read more about our organization structure.
NMHF
The National Maritime Heritage Foundation was founded in April 2000 by business and community leaders who recognized the need in the Washington area for a maritime heritage program to serve as a focus for education and community development. NMHF is working to procure Navy support to open a Maritime Museum in DC.
