Adult Sailing

Whether you're a total beginner or want to add to your skills, DC Sail has lessons for you. The 2011 season starts April 16th and runs through October (unless you like Frostbiting!)

Beginner Lessons

With the beginner lesson course you will gain the skills and knowledge necessary to pass the US Sailing Small Boat Level 1 certification test, which will allow you to rent our Flying Scots without an instructor. Beginner Lessons run every week starting April 21. Learn More >>

Intermediate Lessons

Feel like you have grown out of the Flying Scots? DC Sail offers intermediate lessons on FJs that will teach you advanced boat skills and handling. The Intermediate Course is offered once a month. Learn More >>

Refresher Course

A bit rusty in your sailing skills? No need to take lessons all over again....just take a refresher course. The cost for DC Sail members is $75.




Capsize Course

Finish off your US Sailing Certification and jump in the water! (Every other Sunday)

Racing Lessons

Interested in learning what racing is all about?  You'll learn the rules and techniques of racing as you join an exciting world of competitive sailing. Upon completion you'll have the knowledge needed to join in on our Thursday evening Summer Race Series  Learn More >>

Looking for some one-on-one sailing instruction? Sign up by appointment for three-hour sessions taught by US Sailing Small Boat Level 1 Instructors.
